Category Description
Motor controllers are devices which regulate the operation of an electric motor. In artificial lift applications, motor controllers generally refer to those devices used in conjunction with switchboards or VFDs to control the operation of the prime mover. Motion controller calculates and controls the mechanical trajectories (motion profile) an actuator must follow (i.e., motion planning) and, in closed loop systems, employs feedback to make control corrections and thus implement closed-loop control.
